At Shyft Solutions, we don't shy away from any challenge. Our government customers have some of the most important missions in the Department of Defense. When you join one of our government projects, we want you fully integrated with the customer, but we also want everyone to feel like a part of the larger Shyft team. Technology and process modernization is a part of all our projects. To help our contributors stay on the cutting-edge, our entire team works together at least once a month on our own internal products. We give you exposure to new cloud services, to the latest frameworks and applications, and the opportunity to share lessons and solutions discovered across the programs we support.
Several of us are prior military members: we totally get that when the boss directs everyone to do something "fun" it can be anything but. That being said, it is not uncommon, once we're done with business, for Friday afternoon team meetings to transition to beer-thirty happy hours with board games. While we can't guarantee you'll have fun, we CAN say that everyone so far seems to enjoy themselves.
You'll start off on day one with a 6% match to your 401(k) retirement plan. We don't like to dangle prizes in front of our team members to try and "lure" them to stick around, so we don't mess around with any vesting period. Your retirement plan is 100% YOURS starting with your first paycheck.
While we dream of a day we can offer unlimited vacation, we just aren't there yet. We do start everyone off with the 11 Federally recognized holidays, which can be floated, in addition to 18 personal days accrued each year. All of our programs support flex time as well, so you will always be able to make time for whatever life requires.
Family always comes first, that's why Shyft provides new mothers with 12 weeks of paid maternity leave and new dads with 6 weeks of paid paternity leave. Adopting a child? Awesome! You'll get the same 6 weeks of leave to help welcome the newest member of your family and spend some quality time bonding.
Your health is the greatest gift you can ever receive, and protecting it should not come with a grey cloud constantly looming over your head. We have a three-tiered health insurance program, and we pay 100% of the costs for your personal coverage in the base tier. We will cover 50% of the cost for your family members, and if you have a need for a more inclusive package, then you just pay the difference.
Health is more than just having insurance when something bad happens, it means taking care of yourself all of the time and living your best life. All team members get a well-being stipend that can be used for gym membership, a fitness or mental health subscription, or to purchase equipment for home use.
Shyft will typically cover participation in one of the local conferences to the area, but we know that people are passionate about different things. That's why every member can choose one conference to attend each year with Shyft covering registration, travel and time away.
Shyft also provides all members with a stipend that can be used to purchase training courses online, join a membership to a training platform, or attend classes locally. We love to learn new things, and at Shyft you should consider continuous learning to be one of the biggest expectations we have for everyone.
